As much as I love to write, music has been as big a part of my life, if not bigger since I started listening to and loving music long before I learned how to read, then write, obtain a library card, and start honing my craft.
Today, my tastes have changed some, but one thing remains constant. I can’t write to vocals (or noises) that distract me from the words I’m trying to write. My brain isn’t equipped to multi-task. So, it’s 99% instrumental with the occasional songstress or male vocal tossed into the mix.
I’ve created accounts at Pandora, SoundCloud, and GrooveShark to name a few, and I’ve downloaded enough of my own CDs, uploaded enough mp3s to keep both my Media Player and WinAmp cranking into the wee hours of the night.
From time to time (and when I remember to do so) I’ll post video of the song’s I like to listen to, and if I get any feedback, it’d be great if you would share your own music with me because I’m willing to branch out and experience new sounds (as long as they fall in the guidelines specified above). Thanks for giving this page a listen!
